MFCD has been in the forefront to alleviates human suffering in the face of emergency by mobilizing the power of volunteers from its network and provides emergency relief to all regardless of ethnicity or religious differences at all the major untoward natural and manmade calamities that Sri Lanka faced. Due to MFCD’s untiring efforts and outstanding services, it has consistently received appreciation from its beneficiaries, the public, government agencies, donors and fellow NGOs for its well-coordinated and effective responses to natural disasters. In case of emergency , by mobilizing the power of volunteers from its network, MFCD is always in the forefront to assist the victims . The following projects benefitted the victims of flood / earth slips which wreaked havoc and made people destitute by overnight.
