Child Protection Policy

The term ‘child protection’ refers to wide range of issues related to preventing and responding to violence, exploitation and abuse against children. In this respect, MFCD will formulate some methodologies to ensure child protection. In a nutshell, this includes the provision of an opportunity and environment for children to talk to others about concerns they may have, to protect the children from imminent danger with the assistance of relevant authorities as well as co-ordination and monitoring of action against all forms of child abuse. With the ratification of Children’s Charter by Sri Lanka in 1991, more attention was focused towards child care field and we will strictly adhere thereto.
