Dug Well

The traditional and still most common method of obtaining ground water in rural areas is by means of hand- dug well. Before constructing a deg well, MFCD always do an initial assessment and strictly follows the geological conditions in order to effectively manage and develop water resources. In fact, dug wells provide a low-tech solution to the challenges of rural water supply and provide a viable alternative to unhygienic and unprotected water sources. As reliable supply of water is crucial to human survival and sustainable progress, MFCD is keen to embark on dug-well projects – diameter 4 ft and 25 ft depth -to the benefit of rural populace in arid areas where there is water scarcity or chronically short of water.
