The sanitation and hygiene of a household directly impact on the quality of life of its members. Use of appropriate toilet facilities is important in controlling hygiene related illnesses like diarrhea, intestinal infections and cholera among others. Rural areas, especially in the remotest place, owing to poverty, most poor people don’t have access to clean toilets and sanitation. As a result, they defecate in the open / closed areas which is very unhygienic. To help this segment, MFCD can permanently construct toilets in the remotest villages to overcome open defecation amongst poor families.
