It is basically vertical drilled wells, bored into an underground aquifer in the earth’s surface, to extract water. Tube wells are manually operated and can lift water from about 30 metres beneath the ground. Access to safe drinking water can transform lives. MFCD has installed over 2000 Tube Wells island-wide to the poorest of the poor and thousands of families in the rural areas were benefitted from this noble project. Also, it can be easily maintained by the beneficiary. Hence, MFCD has the capability to undertake Hand Tube Well project on behalf of the donor’s request.
